OUR PASTOR
On the date of September 13, 1993, Elder Frank Tillman, Jr. received a phone call from Bishop Gordon E. Vaughn to pastor the Good Shepard C.O.G.I.C. (The formal pastor was the late Elder Jessie Boyd). Elder Tillman was moved by the Holy Spirit to fast and pray for direction in this matter. The Lord commissioned him to preach out a church instead. The name of the church placed on his heart was inspired from the scripture I John 1:3, as the church was born through faith and the spirit of God's love.
God ordained and confirmed the pastorate of Elder Frank Tillman, Jr. at the time of his calling on September 15, 1993. God directed, blessed and added on to the church. On September 24, 1995, Elder Tillman and the church gathered together for the official Pastoral Installation Service under the leadership of Bishop G. E. Vaughn.
The first message that Pastor Frank Tillman, Jr. preached was "Just Shout It Out" (Isaiah 58). Each Sunday from that moment on, Pastor Tillman has been shouting it out in the street, in the prisons, hospitals, and on television. This church is built on the word of God which is our spiritual sword. Elder Tillman believes that our life on this earth can make a difference in many individuals as we continue to walk in the spirit of God.
OUR CHURCH
The church services consist of Prayer, Praise, Preaching the Word of God, and The Alter Call unto salvation. The church format also includes a Bible study to answer more in depth questions about God's Word - the Bible - and Christianity.
The keynote objective of the church is TO STAY HOLY, AND TO HELP OTHERS SEE, BELIEVE AND RECEIVE JESUS AS THE SON OF THE LIVING GOD AND AS THEIR PERSONAL LORD AND SAVIOR.
